Ukraine is a candidate to join the European Union

In recent years, Ukraine has been implementing a national food quality and safety control system equivalent to the European Union system, which is based on the important principle of ensuring control "from field to table". Much has also been done to adapt the Ukrainian legislation to the EU regulations in the framework of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU.
